Coastal Apartment in Canet
The owners had acquired an apartment on the beach in Canet de Berenguer, its architecture did not allow for the desired use. Although its location was ideal, being right on the beachfront, the apartment’s layout did not provide a common open space with a view of the beach where they could enjoy time with friends and family.
Therefore, a comprehensive renovation was carried out to completely transform the space, modifying the interior architecture of the apartment. The layout was redesigned to include two bathrooms, three bedrooms, and a large common area. This new configuration allows for optimal use of the space, maximizing every corner of the apartment. The functionality of the layout is key, allowing for a natural flow and perfect connection between the common and private areas.
Selection of Suppliers and Materials:
For the renovation, local suppliers and environmentally friendly materials were chosen. Natural materials such as wood and stone were used, adding warmth and authenticity to the space. Mediterranean colors, such as white, blue, and sandy tones, are predominant in the décor. These colors evoke the serenity and freshness of the marine environment. The materials and colors not only create a cozy and relaxing atmosphere but also reflect the natural beauty of the Mediterranean.
One of the major improvements is the ability to enjoy sea views from all the common areas and much of the private spaces. The expansive common area, including the living room, dining room, and kitchen, opens fully toward the beach. This allows natural light to flood the space and makes the panoramic sea views the focal point of the home. Additionally, large windows and sliding glass doors provide a seamless connection between the interior and exterior, integrating the sea breeze and views into daily life.
Regarding the architecture of the space, while it is very important, it is not limiting.
The bedrooms have also been designed to maximize the views. Two of the three bedrooms offer direct sea views, allowing the owners and their guests to wake up to the sight of the sea each morning. Even in private areas without direct views, the layout and design ensure that the sense of proximity to the sea is maintained. This is achieved through the strategic orientation of the windows, respecting the architecture of the development.
In summary, the apartment is now more than just a summer retreat where the inconveniences of the property are forgiven due to its location. It is now a cozy home that invites enjoyment year-round, with enhanced amenities provided by full access to a privileged view. Ultimately, this makes the apartment a true home where the beauty of the surroundings and the functionality of the design combine to offer a unique and sustainable living experience.
Nestled along the picturesque shores of Canet de Berenguer, the owners acquired an apartment boasting a prime beachfront location. However, despite its enviable setting, the apartment lacked a communal space open to the beach, hindering opportunities for enjoyable gatherings with loved ones.
A comprehensive renovation ensued, transforming the space into a haven with two bathrooms, three bedrooms, and a spacious common area. Collaborating with local suppliers and utilizing environmentally friendly materials, the redesign prioritized sustainability without compromising on comfort.
Today, this is more than just a summer retreat; it’s a welcoming home that beckons visitors year-round. Whether basking in the summer sun or cozying up during winter, the apartment offers modern comforts enhanced by uninterrupted access to breathtaking ocean views.
